As supplementation went on growing into a popular business nowadays, I would like to share some things you need to be couscious of, when taking them. 

As I have seen lots of people taking supplements (including myself) and I also have seen many people taking usual medication, my personal opinion to this question is the following: 

If the supplement can replace or reduce a medication, to me, it is a clear yes! to replace it with it. (Please never do this without consulting a doctor!)

If you don’t take any medication but you are taking supplements on a regularly or daily basis, I highly recommend to watch out for a good quality of the products! Supplements can be damaging to the body too on a long term and only because a product is printed with `contains vitamin k or c`or whatever, doesn’t make this product harmingless. If you wanna have a good quality product CHECK THE INGREDIENTS!… READ !! Usually the less ingredients the better the quality of the product. In the best case you do have ONE ingredient I.e. you wanna have a supplementation of grape seeds, then there should be written `100% grape seed powder`. This product is likely to be made of real seeds of grapes – wich means from nature! Not every vitamin package is natural made! Third make sure you always have organic quality, non manipulated (gmo) and no additives. And fourth, check the original country where the product comes from. Every state may have different laws on what’s allowed or not, meaning the quality can differ depending on that law. 

Please always remember this checking list when it comes to taking supplements. You wanna make sure you support your body, and not the opposite.

Also please inform yourself about how it is taken correctly. Many vitamins need to be taken with other vitamins or minerals, to have the right effect on the body!

If you can replace a supplement with pure nature I would always prefer it! If you have a beach vacation, sunbathing all day long, your body is likely to be not in need of a vitamin d supplementation. So if you don’t feel the need to taking supplements because you are healthy why do it? If you feel good and right about your body it is fine! I think taking care of your nutrition is most important because it might have the biggest effect on the body and I recommend the same checking list to use on food and drinking too!

My thoughts on usual medication is: In some cases, short term or even only once, it may safe you from worse. 

You yourself need to be aware of what you put into and unto your body! These decisions are in your own hands. Remind yourself to trust your own senses..
