Today I wanna talk about the skin and why skincare should be seen as more as just for ‚the look‘.

Why do we actually all like a beautiful skin, what’s behind that ?…

Subcounciously, a beautiful, young looking skin is set equal to healthiness, so it is not only the look we’re after but the fact that we are looking for health too!

But what does the health of our skin, wich is the outer side of our body, has to do with the health of the inside of our body? (You might ask…)

Let’s take a closer look..

Our skin is the largest organ we have and all of our organs have the function to detox and to transport. So everything that we put on our skin on a regular or even daily basis, goes deeper and deeper into the skin layers and will finally, enter the blood system. That alone should be a reason enough to have a closer look unto the ingredients of your skincare products. Please make sure you are using natural products or just nature itself as i.e. olive oil or aloevera gel..

Also the quality of the water you use can be a big issue as the skin works like a sponge, taking in a lot of water in a very short period of time, so if you are showering or taking a bath/have a swim in a natural water source you will clearly see and feel the difference on your skin as well as in your well being!

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the skin is connected to the lunghs. The skin is also breathing and many people say that a correct breathing is positively affecting our health. In our skin lies our complete immune system wich is divided into 6 different zones, 3 Yin and 3 Yang zones. If something pathologicly wants to enter our body and create a dis-ease from outside, it must pass these layers. So the stronger your skin (your immune system) the less layers it can pass.

This is all teaching us what great impact the condition of our skin on our body and health has and to to be aware of our skincare routine and that there is a greater importance to the beauty of it.
